Cleveland plays host to international competition

USA Syncronized Swimming - USA Synchronized Swimming July 16, 2008

Cleveland, Ohio - Elite synchronized swimmers from all over the world will gather in Cleveland, Ohio, for the 2008 U.S. Open Synchronized Swimming Championships. The event will take place July 13-19 at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium. 

The elite international competition will attract more than 100 of the nation's top synchronized swimmers as well as notable international talent. Athletes will vie for titles in the solo, duet, trio and team events in the Junior and Senior Divisions. The event will also include the fan-favorite combination routine, which incorporates five different routines into one seven-minute program.

Club teams from the United States will compete against teams from other countries including Brazil, Canada and Mexico. The event will be hosted by the Brecksville Blue Dolphins and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.

Tickets will be $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for youth for finals. All semi final competition is free. Admission to the entire event can be purchased for $30 for adults and $15 for youth.
